There is nothing worse than finding that your bed on holiday is uncomfortable or simply too small to enjoy a good night’s sleep. As more and more people have become used to larger beds, we have in recent years upgraded all our double beds to super kings. Good quality mattresses and crisp, clean bed linen add to the comfort of the experience.
Because it’s the little things that add up to make for a home-from-home experience. Like good heating, copious hot water and a well-equipped kitchen. There are also smart TVs in each cottage so you can stream your favourite shows.
But no one spends their entire holiday inside a cottage. Outside space is important too. Every cottage has its own private garden, which is fenced so dogs can relax and enjoy them too. Then there is the outside play area for children and the games room with pool, table tennis and table football. Add to that the miles of grass tracks around the farm and there is plenty to do while you’re here.
However, with Coldingham and St Abbs a few miles away, the wider Scottish Borders and North Northumberland on your doorstep, and Edinburgh just over an hour by car, there are so many opportunities for days out.
