Many of the guests who visit Press Mains are families with young children. Gemma, who has four of her own, has been instrumental in ensuring that we provide plenty for children to do while here on holiday. In addition to the large grass gardens, we have a swing and sand pit adjacent to the cottages which is popular with little people and there are also buckets, spades and beach kit available to borrow (in the Games Room) for visits off the farm.

Our Games Room has table football, pool, darts and table tennis. It’s a basic set up but provides a really good space to entertain young (and older!) visitors in the unlikely event that the Scottish weather doesn’t play ball. We ask that children do not use the Games Room unsupervised (mainly because of the darts!) and that everything is left clean and tidy for the next guests, but otherwise, feel free to use it whenever you want.

There are loads of activities in the area for children, depending on the time of year. There are lots of beaches nearby, some with rock pools which are always popular. Visitors are welcome to borrow buckets and spades from the Games Room to enjoy these local beaches.
